The affairs of the Uyo Business School regarding the leadership of the specialists’ cluster of consultants has been put to rest as the former Special Assistant to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Dr. Peter Ayim takes appointment as Lead Consultant. Until now, Dr. Ayim has been the Principal Consultant & Chief Executive Officer of MSME Business Development Services Limited, Abuja; Chairman of the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce and Head of Technical Operations at African Union ECOSOCC Nigeria.
According to the Director of Business Development Programs (BDP) Dr. Godwin Ephraim, “having the caliber of Dr. Peter Ayim as the Lead Consultant in Uyo Business School will broaden the track of development, shorten the gestation period and ensure the achievement of its set goals”. He further noted that the school has kept everything in place to pursue its mandate of converting numerous skills acquired by young Nigerian Artisans and Entrepreneurs to educational certificates known as Competency Based Education Certificate (COBEC) at different levels and qualifications.
The programmes helmsman also hinted that the school will soon commence the identification of viable businesses that have created employment opportunities to the people and grade their M/Ds and key managers with the MASTER OF BUSINESS ADVANCEMENT (MBA+) across Nigeria. “With the standard set for the school, many tourists who visit Nigeria will be encouraged to visit Akwa Ibom State, so that they could also earn business knowledge from the Uyo Business School Short Executive Programme (SEP)”, said Dr. Ephraim.
